I have learned that I must push the pause button occasionally and retreat into that private place in my soul where it is only me and God!

About This Quote

When I was in my twenties I would often be looking to God for answers on why certain things were happening in my life. There were times when I would cry out to God for help and he always seemed to be listening. At one time, however, I began to feel like this was not the answer. I felt like if God was really listening to me, he would already have an answer for me.

Time after time after time, I kept asking for help and an answer, but nothing came. So, beginning at twenty-two, I started pushing the pause button on my prayers. Every once in a while I would pray again but always with the same results.

Then one day it just hit me. There is no pause button on prayer! There is no room to push it down! When you pray, you need to keep pushing the play button all the way through until you get an answer or reach your goal or whatever it is that you are seeking with your prayer.
